First Class Debut -

Who has had the biggest influence on your life? Peter Elsley, one of my old coaches from Newcastle

What are you scared of? Death

Which sports teams do you support? Newcastle Knights

What's currently on your ipod? Lupe Fiasco

The happiest moment in your life? Getting a contract with the Warriors

Which city in the world is your favourite and why? Newcastle, because it's God's country!

Best memories at MDCC? Mad Monday celebrations - win, lose or draw a guaranteed great day.

Funniest incident on the field? Weekly - watching Pie warm up under the high balls. After that, it would be AB's reaction to Pie dropping the high balls in the warm up.

Funniest incident off the field? Watching Greggy Weller dodge a tub each Saturday.

Greatest acheivement in cricket? Taking the new ball in front of Chad White and making him run uphill into the wind! Should have got it on tape.

Hogan has earned his first state contract after an impressive summer in Sydney grade cricket where he captured 54 wickets for Northern Districts at the superb average of 16.33, placing him fifth in the competition's leading wicket taker list. The strongly-built paceman played in his hometown of Newcastle with Mereweather before moving to Sydney in 2005-06 to try his luck. He returned to Newcastle the following summer, and after two seasons where he represented NSW and Australian Country, he headed back to Northern Districts in 2008-09, where his tremendous form saw him promoted to the NSW Second XI team for a CA Cup match against SA in Adelaide. Hogan also worked for Hornsby Shire Council as a groundsman at Northern Districts' home ground Waitara Oval.

Pie taken down by Grinsell St Girls
Laverne and Shirl have out classed Neil Crittenden in what was thought to be a fair bet at the start of season 2009/2010. The opening salvos were fired through the week by the girls. Coup curator G Curnow said 'the girls were off their grain on the Friday before the season started, but to my surprise the next morning they produced the goods and were out of the blocks in style'. L & S producing approx 6 eggs per week for 112 eggs across the season. Crittenden was out of the blocks to a flyer with a 5th ball duck in the first game. Things got worse in rd 2 with a 3rd ball duck. It was a sign of the times unfortunately with a final run tally of 92 for the year. G Curnow summed it up best when he said 'the girls were only after fair fight, so even though it didn't really turn out that way, they were over the moon to have a red scalp pinned to the coup wall'. MDCC End of Season Show
Thanks to Goody for organising the show last Saturday night at Townson Oval - good times had by all.

A couple of images that I left with on the night were:

AB still no tub at 11pm....doing Greggy Weller proud.

Damon Tindall taking out the MDCC Gift. An absolute running machine who had the crowd mesmerised with his white cheeks heading out into the night. Easily the quickest, congrats 'Hotstick'
